The belt is designed for use during various activities, including:

  • Occupational settings that involve physical exertion

The wide 20cm Velcro fastening allows for adjustable compression, enabling the wearer to tailor support levels as needed throughout the day.

How to Wear the 16cm Hernia Support Belt

There are three recommended methods for wearing the belt:

  1. Wrap and Secure – Insert one hand inside the glove, hold the other end of the belt, and extend it around the waist. Adjust the compression level before securing the Velcro, ensuring the fastening is positioned away from the stoma.
  2. Step-In Method – Pre-fastening the Velcro allows the user to step into the belt and pull it up to the abdomen. This ensures a secure fit without disrupting the stoma appliance.
  3. Lying-Down Technique – For those with an established hernia, lying on the back before securing the belt can provide optimal hernia reduction and support.

To empty the stoma appliance while wearing the belt, simply pull up the bottom edge for quick access or remove and reapply as needed.

Sizing and Fitting Guide

For the best fit, measure the fullest part of the abdomen (usually at stoma level) in centimeters. This measurement determines the correct belt size:

For example, a 112cm measurement requires a Large belt (95cm–115cm).

Thanks to the adjustable Velcro fastening, the belt does not require customisation, allowing for a secure and comfortable fit.
